ACCHSH Signs the First Franchising Agreements on Using the PuzzleFlow Technology and Trademark

Warsaw, 03.08.2009
ACCHSH announced that it has recently signed the first franchising agreements for using the PuzzleFlow technology and trademark by outside companies in the process of creating and developing their PuzzleFlow-based software as well as its sales and technical support in particular regions of the world. The first two franchisers are companies that have been co-operating with ACCHSH for many years: Ready4Print from the Netherlands and Flashlight-Digital from the USA.

The Dutch-based company Ready4Print is ACCHSH’s partner in the enterprise named PuzzleFlow Solutions Europe, started as a centre of research & promotion for new PuzzleFlow Framework-based automated solutions in the second half of 2007. Thanks to this co-operation between both companies, two JDF-compatible solutions, already installed in Benelux, have been created PuzzleFlow Printing On Demand and PuzzleFlow Publisher. Currently, according to the freshly signed franchising agreement, they became a part of Ready4Print’s offer devoted to printing, publishing and advertising companies.
The PuzzleFlow Printing On Demand system, based on the latest version of PuzzleFlow Framework, is an extensive application, offering the following functions: acquiring, conversion, submission and verifying of jobs (supplied by the PuzzleFlow Express module) as well as automated prepress corrections, job management, approval and preview. PuzzleFlow Printing On Demand is a personalised solution, prepared according to the customer’s needs. The system works online and is prepared as an on-site solution, installed at the customer’s location or as SaaS (Software As A Service) solution. PuzzleFlow Printing On Demand is compatible with PDF/X and Ghent PDF Workgroup standards; it also co-operates with MIS systems, e.g. using JDF format.
PuzzleFlow Publisher is a complete system for publishers and ad agencies allowing for full prepress job control – from creation to files submission to the printer. Sanoma, the biggest Dutch publisher with over 80 magazine titles, is among its first users, as well as numerous advertising agencies from this region of Europe.

The co-operation between ACCHSH and Flashlight-Digital also started in 2007. In the beginning the American-based company became an exclusive distributor of ACCHSH’s solutions in the US market. Last year both companies established a new enterprise named PuzzleFlow Solutions USA which offers services and technical support for American customers of PuzzleFlow-based software. This co-operation has brought three applications to date: PuzzleFlow Automator, a production automating server as well as PuzzleFlow Prepress Assistant and PuzzleFlow WebPairer programs. On the basis of the franchising agreement, currently they belong to the PuzzleFlow Solutions USA’s offer, a dedicated enterprise of Flashlight-Digital, focusing on solutions based on ACCHSH’s technology. The programs are devoted mainly for the newspaper market, the publisher of Washington Times being one of the first American users of PuzzleFlow Automator.

Andrzej Czyz, CEO of ACCHSH, says: The franchising of PuzzleFlow technology and the trademark is another step of our expansion in international markets. We have been very active in different regions of the world for many years, however lately we have decided that the best way will be giving local vendors the rights for using our programs and PuzzleFlow trademark in the particular markets. What’s natural, our first franchisers have come from our long-time partners – Ready4Print from the Netherlands and Flashlight-Digital from the USA. In both cases signing the agreements is a formalizing of our co-operation which concerned either creating new PuzzleFlow-based solutions or functioning of this trademark on both markets. We plan to sign the next franchising agreements in other countries and regions of the world, resulting in the strengthening and development of PuzzleFlow technology on an international scale.
